Our Approach
We are a group of South Coast fully independent medical providers from different sub specialities.
We meet every 6 months for education, networking and fun.
The group has a wealth of knowledge regarding issues that occur when setting up as an independent provider
We are passionate to expand the society and welcome all fully independent clinical healthcare providers who have no NHS trust practice.
Our Story
We believe the number of fully independent non NHS Trust providers will increase significantly over the coming years.
The society was formed in 2018 and had its inaugural meeting in June of this year.

Andy Cossey
Founder
Orthopaedic Surgeon
Andy is a sub specialised knee surgeon working in Portsmouth. He has been a fully Independent provider since 2013. He is married with 2 children
Simon Payne
Consultant Vascular Surgeon
Simon is a vascular Surgeon with particular interests in venous disease (ranging from thread vein treatment through to managing venous ulcers) and cartoid surgery for stroke prevention
Chris Guyer
Consultant Gynaecologist
Chris has broad experience in general gynaecology and extensive experience as a specialist minimal access surgeon, with a special interest in endometriosis and pelvic pain
Chris Hobbs
Conusltant Orthopaedic Surgeon
Chris is a consultant orthopaedic hand surgeon who now runs and independent practice having previously served in the army and worked in the NHS sector. He is married with six children and two dogs.
Chantal Simonis
Consultant
Dr Chantal Simonis is a Gynaecologist and Obstetrician having trained in southampton, Winchester an South Africa. Chantal specialises in reproductive medicine, recurrent miscarriage and IVF procedures.
Manish Patel
Lead Endoscopist
Manesh is lead endoscopist at St Marys Independent treatment centre. He has a great deal of experience in all aspects of gastroenterology, particularly disorders of the oesophagus, stomach and bowel, and diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. Manesh trained at King’s College Medical School, London.
